2024 High Holy Days at CBT

Our congregation does not charge for attending High Holy Days services or any other services. It is one of the things that sets us apart from other congregations in the area. It is our belief that celebrating the holidays is an important aspect of the Jewish faith and the High Holy Days are no exception.

While donations are always welcome, and are greatly appreciated, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services are free and open to the public.

Here is a list of our worship services for all of the high holy days.

Erev Rosh Hashana

This year, Erev Rosh Hashanah begins on Wednesday, October 2 at 7pm.

We are excited for the return of CBT’s Honey Cake Competition!

Dust off those cookbooks and try out a new (or tried and true) recipe. Please slice your cakes ahead of time, if possible, mark with your name, and drop off in Nickless Hall before that night’s service. All guests are welcome to join us after the service to try all the cakes submitted for judging. Votes will be tallied at the end of the evening and the winner will get a prize as well as bragging rights for the next year.

Yom Kippur

To conclude our High Holidays this year, we plan to once again provide to-go Break the Fast bags after Yom Kippur services. These bags will include hearty snacks, such as bagels, cookies, veggies, and fruit. They will be available for congregants to grab after services before heading home.
