Rabbi Greg Marcus joined Congregation B’nai Torah in August 2025. He is excited to serve our diverse yet close-knit community in services and worship, acts of Chesed (loving kindness), and education. Diane Firestone, our Cantorial Soloist, brings music into our services, religious school, and lives. Kat Hubbard serves as Religious School Director, continuing the long tradition of great education that has always been a mainstay of the congregation.
The leadership of B’nai Torah is also provided by a board elected by the trustees. Our board meets monthly and sets the agenda and the course for the congregation. However, the leadership of our community is much more than just our Board of Directors. We are community-based and community-led. Everyone has a stake in making our congregation great.
Greg Marcus, Rabbi

Rabbi Greg was born in the old country—New York City—and was raised in Syracuse, New York. He grew up a member of Temple Concord, the fifth oldest Reform Synagogue in the United States.
After earning a Ph.D. in Biology from MIT, he moved to the San Francisco Bay area where he had successful careers as an academic scientist, a marketer in the genomics industry, a life balance coach, a best-selling author of two Jewish books, a Mussar teacher, and almost 10 years as a stay-at-home dad.
In 2021, he served as a rabbinic intern at Congregation Beth Jacob in Redwood City, California, an independent liberal Conservative shul, where he focused on starting a program to facilitate communication across the political divide.
In 2022, Rabbi Greg did his pastoral internship at Mission Hospice and Homecare in San Mateo, California, where he served as a grief counselor. Rabbi Greg continues to offer grief counseling and pastoral support to both members of B’nai Torah as well as the unaffiliated Jewish community of the northwest Denver metro area.
In 2024, Rabbi Greg was ordained by the Academy of Jewish Religion, CA, a trans-denominational Jewish Seminary based in Los Angeles.
“My greatest passion is helping people connect to the Jewish tradition in ways to bring meaning to their lives. I can help you find the right parts of the tradition to bring out the best in you.”
– Rabbi Greg Marcus
Rabbi Greg is thrilled to be living in Westminster with his wife Rachel. They have two children in their early 20s who live on the East Coast, and two cats Lilah and Lydia who you will see on Zoom.

Dan Martin, President

Dan is a Colorado native and grew up in Broomfield. He and his family moved to Firestone in 2021. They’ve been active members of Congregation B’nai Torah for the past decade, first drawn in by the welcoming atmosphere and free High Holy Day services. The warmth and vibrancy of the CBT community continue to inspire their involvement.
Dan is a small business owner and a proud father of three. All three of his children have attended the CBT religious school. His wife Jennifer and their middle child, Kingsley, both teach in the school, making CBT a meaningful part of their family life.
As President, Dan is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the community and helping create a space where everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging. He’s honored to serve and contribute to CBT’s continued growth and future.
Board of Trustees
CBT is lead by a Board of Trustees, made up of members of our congregation. The Board coordinates events, manages our business affairs and represents the overall interests of the congregation.
